Before shouting profanity and bragging about being a cop killer became popular.
It's easy to appreciate why hosoi was considered the best that skateboarding had to offer in those days. He just sailed.
Hosoi = power + style Always gonna be the best. Tech and weak shit is soft as fuck skating.
The Wanderers 😊
RIP, Tommy Marinucci, better known as Tommy Tedesco.
still the best band ever!!
check the groovy band and the FENDER GUITARS and AMPS...this is where Stevie Ray Vaughn got it from. Them Malibu boards WOW.. All them old American brands were big in Australia too.
Love that DogTown deck
This old clip makes me tear up because it brings back so many fond memories of a by- gone era of surfing which I and my friends experienced exactly as this film describes. It was so fun! and I wouldn't change it for a thing.
Great Man
I'm 66 grew up surfing at HB . And I'm very grateful for that.
Amazing footage thank u so much!
I grew up in the Santa Monica Venice area where my grandparents lived back in the 70s and 80s. This was our life. Skateboards and surf boards and bands like Suicidal Tendencies. I had to watch this for nostalgia after a day teaching my grandson how to skate. I can still skate a pool and half pipe even on a bike.
we enjoyed surfing the HB "Cliffs"
The greatest show on television ever made
Caballero had the record in '87 at 11 feet
Does ANYONE KNOW WHO THAT IS PLAYING THE BASS in that LIVE CLIP of the band? He looks a lot like Brian, who did occasionally sit‐in with the band live, but Brian mostly played the Grand Piano when he did play live, after his so‐called "In My Room" period! Just wondering, cause he looks a lot like how Brian used to play the Bass in the early 60's live clips?
Hella cool ;'/
Best music fore sure
Love this performance. I've posted a video about the history and legacy of Bo's song 'Bo Diddley' on my channel if you want to check it out! ☮♥
Love that great 60's surf sound.
El Squatto moto?
this song copycat the beastie boys- fight for your right to party,......both have the same elements,...both came out the same ear,............marius(punk rules).
It's uncommon for guitar players to get as much angle as he does at 1:35
Never get tired of listening to this Fantastic Tune….absolutely love it 👌🏽
This song and video makes the beach feel like Heaven
I'm here for the bikinis 😋
“who’s invites you to watch the flintstones” 😄🤩
Perfection. Timeless and sweetest
This footage gives a good example of why I think Elvis became such a big star. I've seen countless footage of old tv appearances, and it was the norm for the performers to use very dorky and awkward movements. They were trying to appear snazzy, or whatever, but it looked dumb. Unlike most others, when Elvis walked on stage he looked very cool and the girls all thought he was very sexy. At its beginning in 1955, it wasn't important to have a certain image to play rock and roll, but an image became more important later on. I think certain big stars would have been even been bigger had they had a good stage appearance. As for this particular performance, were they playing live? I don't see any wires hanging down from their guitars, but I find it hard to believe that Lawrence would allow miming on his stage.
Sorry - Todd and the mysterions
I have copy of this video I bought back in ‘84 at ambler trophy in PA. The creep who owned thd shop would make dupes then sell them as new for like 30$ in ‘84 dollars. The bands name is something like Todd and the mysterious if I’m not mistaken
Hilarious looking at the faces of the Welk band, every one of them thinking "Music has come to this trash?"
Pretty girl!
All they need here is Tommy Tedrsco and Glen Campbell plugged in, making it sound real!
Never realized Lawrence Welker was so progressive.
The drip on that reverb :)
Wanderers forever.
I can tell this is being played off a VHS tape.
The female House Band member up near the top: 1:16 She was groovin' to the music...
Take off the top and go for a drive
the voice of magoo was Mr Howell from Gil gains island who died in 89
Excellent, thanks so much for the flashback! This was my life at 11 y/o, explains a lot 😎
The drummer had a special technique t play like that.
Huntington?
Why aren’t they really playing ????
worlds worst what do you call it...when they pretend to be playing ?
It's very similiar to my full morning trying to stand on the surfing board
Wow... Great performance. The women are really good.
Not only do I remember the Chantays, I remember the guy introducing them. I loved that song, 11 yrs old; Me and my skateboard shooting the Pipeline🏄♂
